Nonsense.
Murray's track record is announcing something, taking credit for announcing something, then changing jobs before he actually does anything.
Yesterday his announcement was that he was going to "champion" community development initiatives in each TC neighbourhood. Is he going to create jobs in Rosedale and Moore Park?
Check out his record in Winnipeg - nothing.
Announcements, And then nothing.
Quitting to run for MP. Beaten and leaves town.
Works as a consultant for a year and a half then as the Urban guru at which he accomplished nothing.
Read this - quotes from xtra.

Chris - you are much, much more qualified than Murray. Cathy Crowe is much much more qualified.
I hear that every time he opens his mouth he loses 100 votes.
I think he is going to lose and move back to winnipeg to run for Mayor or MP.
Thing is - is that this is the best chance the Greens will ever have to elect a provincial member - and here you are praising this flake.

That was an excellent post, characteristic of the unvarnished truth and frank speech that I hope remains a hallmark of Greens. A minimum of spin, please, budding politicians! (some is inevitable, but lets keep a watch on it).

Cathy Crowe came by my door the other night - I wasn't available - but I would have/will tell her that although I respect her work immensely, I can't support an NDP that stayed out of the dust-up over religious school funding in the last provincial. So I'll continue to support the Greens and vote for the Green candidate this election. I also respect Glen Murray, or, at least, his ability, but I'm not voting for more Liberal government at this time.

Disappointing I'm sure. He should have given you a heads-up about it before you threw the party for him. Obviously he wasn't as committed to running for mayor as he claimed.

Perhaps I am unduly cynical about municipal politics, and the involvement of political Party's. In Toronto, the Liberals, NDP, and a lesser extent the Conservatives are very active. They need to be because the basis of their respective strengths in Toronto are the community groups, and organisations that actually do retail politics on the ground. I suspect that the event at Ben Wicks was a red flag to the Liberals, in respect to the fact that there where a whack of Greens in the room. You can ask Glen, and I'd be curious about the answer, but I suspect that this move was at least partly a pre-emptive measure by the Liberals to deny a foothold to the Greens in Toronto municipal politics.
To me, it was clear that Glenn was going to get hundreds of Greens on his team had he continued with his bid.
Such things do happen you know, as I can attest to my own regret.
